Fun Weekend in the Cities

This last Saturday we went down to the cities to visit lots of people. We stopped in Sandstone to pick up Audrey first though. She had camped there with Uncle Justin and Aunt Jill, so then we got to bring her to Grandpa Radzak's house. By the end of the day, she was calling them Grandpa and Grandma too!

Just enjoying some ice cream after a hard day of swinging and fishing and running around.

We started out in Grandpa's blue individual kid swing, and we were doing pretty well taking turns, but then Grandpa brought out this mega swing! Now this was fun!! (If not a little bit squished!)

Higher Grandpa!!
Peter and I tried our fishing luck with the branches we found in the yard. The fish weren't biting though! Then we got to head over to the church's carnival where we met Grandma Gerard,Ty, Uncle Mike and the Hoekmans. That was fun! I got to go on my first amusement ride. It was great!

On Sunday we had an impromptu party for me! Grandma made me a John Deere cake!
I will be 4 years old tomorrow! Thanks everyone for the great gifts!! After the party we headed down to our friends Sara and Jon. We got to play with Olivia, Sully, and Isla and have a sleepover there! On Monday, we went to the worlds biggest playground too. It was in Hyland Park in Bloomington. If anyone lives in the cities and has kids, you have to go there! It is free, outside, and HUGE!!!

Super Mario Brothers Fans

Happy Mother's Day to all you Moms and Grandmas out there! I know it is late but I still wanted to tell you all. Mom had to work on Mother's Day, so we didn't get to take her out to eat until Monday. On Sunday, we let Mom go for a morning run before church. Then after church, we had a picnic at the zoo picnic grounds and went for a great hike up the big river that is above the zoo on the Lake Superior Hiking trail. Mom had a really great day! On Monday, we took Mom to Applebees and celebrated again. We were good for the most part, but me and Peter invented a new game to play there. If you have ever played Super Mario Brothers on Nintendo, do you remember the sound of going down the pipes? Well, Peter and I started going "Ump, Ump, Ump," and would go under the table and then pop out the other side. I was Mario and Peter was Luigi. Mom was quite proud of our genius imaginative idea, but not so much with the fact that we were at a public restaurant.

Menards

As most of you know, I am a huge Menards fan. Have been for awhile actually. I think it was one of my first words. Anyway, we were at Subway the other night enjoying dinner, and across the street from Subway is a big Menards sign, because it is just down the road. Peter saw it and mentioned he wanted to go, so we discussed it and then let that conversation die. As Mom was carrying Peter towards the car, Peter said "I want to go save Big Money, Mom". Apparently Peter is a fan too, since he quotes from the Menards jingle!

Where we left off...

So, we left off with Birthday party #1 of Pete's, and so here is birthday party #2. This was at Grandpa Gerard's house, and that cake is supposed to be Nemo.
At the time we thought Peter was going to be a big boy sooner than later, he was already starting to use the potty before bed and at other random times. But is is 6 months later, and he is still not trained. Looks like George is though!
Bentleyville! See, all you people with young kids that we invited up here need to come next year! I love it! I got to meet all the reindeer and have cookies and hot chocolate. It was great!
Hanging from my bunk bed. Peter has not yet joined me in my room yet to sleep. When Dad has tried to put us to sleep together, we are just too excited and hyper, and Mom and Dad have yet to wait long enough to actually fall asleep, which they are assuming would be at least 2 hours. At least.
PJs gifted to us. They are super fuzzy and warm!
Little Ty on Christmas was Santa!
Peter and Auntie Shelly snuggling together, right before we opened presents!!
Toys and more toys! It was a great Christmas!
I liked my spy kit from Uncle Mike, and my combine from Grandpa and Grandma Radzak! And my new digger pjs too!
Hope everyone had a good Christmas. Hard to believe the next one is only 7 months away!
We celebrated Mom's birthday with a homemade cake that us boys put together. It was delicious! It was vanilla pudding with chocolate chips, mandarin oranges (hmm..), cool whip, and icing for the letters and one number (we ran out and had to use the chips). Mom says it was great! And she was especially happy because she got to go out shopping for hours all by herself that evening.
I bet you didn't see me at first glance!
 Peter loves his monkeys!

Dad was on call a couple weeks in January, and we were lucky enough to have a work truck in our driveway for 2 whole weeks. Which meant we got to ride the elevator to get in and out of it, and look at all the tools!
 Sleeping Petey.
Happy Happy! Just wait for 3 days...
Dooms Day!!! The flu hit us hard in February. It was awful, but luckily for Mom, there was no puking, just lots of coughing and, oh yeah, PINK EYE! First time we have dealt with that in our household. The drops working for all of one time, so that was a waste. But we did get better after a couple weeks. The only good thing was I was taking my naps again, which made Mom happy. But still, she says it wasn't worth it for how sick we were and whiney too.
 Peter.
Ha ha! I don't know why everyone laughs at this picture. We can't help it! We are sick!
Moving on to better days.. We finally had a good snowy winter, and snowy spring! Lots of sliding to do!
 And snow forts to build!
And destroy!!! That is my new digger from Santa!
Finally happy to be outside when it is warm. Spring was great because we had the snow, AND we could play in it when it was in the 40s! No cold fingers for us!

Easter was fun! The Easter bunny came and hid eggs, and I got a chocolate bunny in my basket. That was really the only thing I wanted!
We celebrated at Grandpa Sundstroms house. We had lots of fun!
My great Uncle Bob can lift me to the ceiling!

Peter plays with our new Tiger from our neighbor Abbey. She brings us her old or never used toys on occasion, which tends to be lots of stuffed animals. We love Tigie though. Both of us do. He looks so real!
The infamous snowman! I don't know what the big deal is. I put one arm on, and then the other arm on, and then one leg on. And that was it. I told Dad that this snowman only had one leg, and that is exactly where it belonged. What???
Our beautiful April 22 snowstorm. This was taken from the window of our living room.
And now it is spring! Finally!

The Dentist!

A few weeks ago I went to the dentist for the first time! I wasn't nervous at all, and I did super great! Best part of all, I got to go home with a toy bug, and no cavities either!
The hygienist explained everything to me very well so nothing was scary to me.
The dentist said everything was good, but told me I need to stop sucking my thumb. What horrible news! So I have had very limited thumb sucking the last few weeks, and when I turn 4, Mom says I won't get to sleep with my blanket at night!! I hope I am ready by then!

Happy Birthday Grandma! And we are back!!

So it has been awhile. Mom has finally mustered up the energy to make a new blog, since we have had many of you mentioning how you have missed us. I can't guarantee how often I will update this, but I will try my hardest!
This last weekend we headed down to Grandma Radzak's for a fun weekend full of garage saleing, hiking, and playing at the beach, and the best part of all was celebrating Grandma's birthday!

Chocolate tongue! Gross!

It was in the 40's when we hit the beach, but we couldn't wait any longer, it is already May!

Here Peter is doing his pretend sulk. If you bet he can't smile, he looses everytime!

Getting cleaned up in the tub. Once Pete got out, I was somehow able to turn this slippery tub into a waterslide by sitting on the far end and then plunging in.
